Determined MR Safe under ASTM F2503-26

MED Institute has determined that the Global Safety First ReadiMask® Strapless Respirator, with and without the Integrated Eye Shield, meets the definition of MR Safe under ASTM F2503-26 and can be labeled MR Safe.

For patients: Save or print the one-page determination and show it to your MRI technologist before or at your appointment.

• No metallic structural components: no metal nose clip, staples, fasteners, or wires.

What “MR Safe” means under ASTM F2503-26

ASTM F2503-26 defines how items are marked for safety in the MR (MRI) environment, using three categories: MR Safe, MR Conditional, and MR Unsafe. An item determined MR Safe poses no known hazards in any MR environment. MED Institute determined that ReadiMask meets the MR Safe definition and can be labeled MR Safe.
