The wildfire smoke mask that goes where you go

Smoke gets on your clothes — you wash them. In your hair — you shower. The one place you can't easily wash it out of is your lungs. The best strategy is to reduce what gets in to begin with. ReadiMask is a strapless respirator that seals directly to your face, folds flat to the size of a wet-nap, and lives in your car, purse, or pack until the day the air changes.

Why wildfire smoke is different

Wildfire smoke carries fine particles (PM2.5) small enough to travel deep into the lungs. You don't have to live near a fire to breathe it — smoke travels hundreds, even thousands, of miles, and air can go from good to unhealthy within an hour. Many people get smoke days without ever seeing flames.

Life doesn't stop because the air quality does. The dog still needs walking. The kids still need to get to school. You can't control the wind, but you can control what you breathe.

Why a seal matters on a smoke day

A mask that leaks around the edges lets unfiltered air in with every breath. Most masks rely on strap tension for their fit, and the fit drifts as you move. ReadiMask seals to your face along its full edge with a gentle medical-grade adhesive — no straps, no gaps, no fogged sunglasses. In quantitative fit testing on a PortaCount, ReadiMask scored a fit factor of 200+, the maximum the test measures.

The mask you actually have with you

Smoke arrives with little warning. A mask at home in a drawer doesn't help you at school pickup. ReadiMask weighs almost nothing and folds flat, so you can keep one in your car, your bag, your desk, and your emergency kit. When the wind changes, you're ready.

What customers say

"In a ReadiMask I can speak and laugh and move my face normally and still be protected."

"Your masks have been a unique game changer! They're so breathable."

"These masks don't fog my glasses, which makes it easier for me to use public transit."

How it works

  1. Peel the liner.
  2. Press the mask to your clean, dry face, starting at the nose.
  3. Smooth the edges for a full seal. That's it — no straps, no fitting.

About our certification

ReadiMask was manufactured under our active NIOSH N95 certification (TC-84A-8133), under the strictest manufacturing specifications and quality controls that approval required. The "N95" filter class is defined by NIOSH's federal standard, 42 CFR Part 84: a filter that captures at least 95% of the test aerosol. We voluntarily withdrew our certification in March 2025 for economic reasons, unrelated to product performance, and today ReadiMask is sold for consumer and voluntary use. We test our inventory quarterly on a PortaCount 8048 and stand behind every mask we ship. Read the full NIOSH status FAQ →

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for wildfire smoke?

ReadiMask filters particulates — including the fine particles in wildfire smoke — and its adhesive seal reduces the unfiltered air that leaks around the edges of strap-based masks. It does not filter gases or vapors; no particulate respirator does.

How long can I wear one?

It's comfortable for extended wear — customers wear theirs through long flights and full appointments. Replace it when breathing feels harder or the mask is visibly dirty.

Can I take it off and put it back on?

Yes. The adhesive is repositionable. Peel gently and reseal on a clean, dry face.

What sizes are there?

Large and Small/Petite. The size guide is on the product page.

The best mask is the one you have with you when the smoke rolls in. Keep one in every car, bag, and kit.
